• Development Opportunities

    ISPI has many development opportunities to work closely with the Society and gain new professional and personal experiences. Volunteers can expand their network of contacts as they interact with other Performance Improvement professionals. The purpose of the ISPI Network is to link ISPI members with development opportunities within the Society. ISPI volunteers have the opportunity to:

    • Use and expand their professional skills and knowledge.
    • Participation in Community Service Programs.
    • Build relationships within their professional community.
    • Strengthen the field by strengthening the organization that best represents the field.

    • The typical volunteer career path begins at either a chapter or Society committee as a committee member and progresses through deputy committee chair to committee chair.
    • Committee chairs are prime candidates for consideration for the ISPI Board.
    • Chapter leadership volunteers who have completed their Chapter term commitments are prime candidates for Society committee positions.
    • Society members are encouraged to become part of local or virtual chapters. Chapter members are encouraged to volunteer with their local chapters.

     

    ISPI's tiered volunteer structure is designed to provide flexible opportunities:

    • Micro Volunteer (3 hours per month)
    • General Volunteer (3 - 6 hours per month)
    • Leadership (6 - 10 hours per month)

    Are you passionate about leveraging technology and effective communication to drive member engagement?

    We have an incredible team waiting for you! Join us and explore unique project opportunities that will enhance your skills, connect you with renowned academic and professional leaders, and immerse you in the world of Performance Improvement.
    As part of our team, you'll be involved in a diverse range of projects, including managing email and social media communications, configuring ISPI's online platforms, promoting our innovative offerings, and fostering member engagement.

    This volunteer position at ISPI offers flexibility, requiring 8-12 hours of work per quarter, more is welcome, less is also OK. Don't worry if you're not a coding expert – we value your interest in Communications, Social Media, and Technology.

    Join the powerhouse team leading the way for ISPI Academic Committee!
    The goal of ISPI Academic Committee is to fuel research and innovation, build a vibrant community, drive, engage, and disseminate research to promote understanding, growth, and acceptance of the field across academia and business.
    Join this team if you are interested to build an active community of practice that contributes, shapes, and informs research and practice through an accurate and comprehensive understanding of the field and the impact of emerging trends.

    Be a Part of ISPI's CPT Certification Committee

    Are you interested to shape the future of ISPI Certification programs?
    This volunteer committee position is for CPTs who are members of ISPI. The Committee formulates policy for the CPT credential program as well as changes in requirements, procedures, and certification criteria for the Board to approve. Committee members meet virtually twice per year and once in person at the ISPI conference.
    Additional virtual meetings can occur as necessary. Committee members support projects and initiatives to help ISPI encourage more performance improvement professionals to apply for the CPT and educate the public about the value of the CPT credential. New members serve for three years, beginning and ending at the annual conference. Committee members are eligible to serve for a second three-year term.

    Join ISPI's Chapter Affiliation Team

    ISPI's Chapter Affiliation Committee (CAC) is looking for volunteers. The CAC serves as the voice and champion for all ISPI Chapters, in the US and globally. They also work to identify and adopt agreements with potential ISPI collaborators.
