    Research Survey Guidelines

     

    ISPI supports student and academic research surveys for professional development in the field of performance improvement. ISPI will send out survey information in up to two emails within thirty days of each other to our membership. Students/researchers will prepare the individual messages they wish to distribute to membership.

    To help prepare a survey research message, please review the following criteria:

    1. The student or researcher conducting the research must be an ISPI Gold Member.
    2. The student or researcher must include the following in a brief description:

    a. Introduction (2-3 sentences)
    i. name of student or researcher’s school, program, and degree enrolled/received
    ii. name and email of advisor(s) or department information (if applicable)
    b. Research information (2-3 sentences)
    i. title of research project
    ii. brief description of study
    iii. link to survey
    iv. duration of time to complete survey
    v. deadline to complete survey
    vi. a raffle or incentive to complete the survey. This is not mandatory, but recommended.

    c. Contact information (1 sentence)
    i. contact information – name, email, and phone
    ii. advisor information – name, email, and phone (if applicable)

     

    Below is an email template you can reuse and customize to your needs:

    Dear friends and colleagues,

    [INTRO, WHAT IS THE SURVEY ABOUT, WHY DOES IT MATTER]

    [YOUR NAME], a [YOUR JOB/ROLE], is conducting a research project on the [SURVEY TOPIC]. Please complete this short survey [WITH LINK] to share your feedback and experiences. It should take you around [LENGTHS] minutes to complete and your responses are completely anonymous.

     

    As an appreciation for your time, you can enter a raffle to win 1 of the [GIFT CARDS, OTHER INCENTIVES]. Your contribution is really appreciated, and it will not only help with research but the results will also help [IMPACT ON HPT PROFESSION>].
